ABOUT ME

My Story

I began my career in school counseling over 20 years ago in Oklahoma, my home state. In my job as a school counselor I have always worked in the elementary setting but I have experience working with all ages. Prior to my work as a school counselor I worked as a psychotherapist in a variety of settings: a hospital, an outpatient clinic, an army base, and in private practice. I am a registered play therapist and obtained most of my training from the largest play therapy training facility in the U.S., the Center for Play Therapy at the University of North Texas, in Denton, TX. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (Oklahoma) and a National Board Certified Teacher. I love children and truly enjoy the time I get to spend working with them and their families. I love my job as a school counselor!
